About Stackpole Head

Plan your visit with confidence

CoastMetric is a real-time conditions app built for coastal visitors. It combines live weather, tides, Atlantic swell, air quality and path conditions into a single Visit Score — essential for planning visits to the Stackpole Estate and Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

Stackpole Head and the Pembrokeshire coastline are subject to Atlantic swell, strong tidal currents and fast-changing weather. Limestone cliff edges are unstable and sea conditions can be extreme. Data shown is gathered from third-party sources and may not reflect current on-the-ground conditions.

Safety Information

Before you go

⛑️ Important safety notes

Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and National Trust both manage sections of this coast. Do not approach cliff edges — limestone is highly eroded. At Barafundle Bay, the cove below can be cut off by tide. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path is waymarked but exposed in poor visibility. Check ferry and tide times if coasteering.
