About Land's End

Plan your visit with confidence

CoastMetric is a real-time conditions app built for coastal visitors. It combines live weather, tides, Atlantic swell, air quality and path conditions into a single Visit Score — essential planning for Britain's most weather-exposed headland.

Land's End is Britain's most westerly point, fully exposed to the open Atlantic Ocean. Conditions including wind, Atlantic swell and spray can be extreme and change very rapidly. Data shown is gathered from third-party sources and may not reflect current on-the-ground conditions.

Safety Information

Before you go

⛑️ Important safety notes

Stay on marked coastal paths. The granite cliff edges are slippery when wet or covered in sea spray. Cliff drops are sheer with no barriers in many sections. Strong rogue waves have been recorded at the base of the cliffs — never climb down to sea level. The South West Coast Path requires sturdy footwear.
